Tremonton, Utah Navy Photographer Delbert Newhouse 16mm Formation Track
Tremonton / Great Salt Lake Basin, Box Elder County, Utah • NARA Record Group 341 (Project Blue Book Case #1699 Photogrammetry)
Re-digitized at 8K resolution in PURSUE Release 06 from NARA Record Group 341, U.S. Navy Warrant Officer and Chief Photographer Delbert C. Newhouse filmed 12–14 bright self-luminous or specular discoid objects maneuvering in formation over Tremonton, Utah (41.71°N, -112.16°W) on July 2, 1952 using a Bell & Howell 16mm camera with a 3-inch telephoto lens. Daylight and twilight high-albedo formation targets at 3,658 m (12,000 ft) can be tracked with tripod-mounted 15x70 astronomy binoculars[↗] or a smart telescope[↗] operating in solar-safe / high-shutter tracking mode.
Local Gemma (tier1-local-server-gemma) assigns 0% satellite flare likelihood (filmed July 2, 1952—over five years before Sputnik 1) and 3% CNEOS bolide match probability due to 70+ seconds of non-linear multi-object reversals. NARA RG 341 35mm Photogrammetry at 3,658 m (12,000 ft / 3.66 km / 2.27 mi) and 760 mph (0.34 km/s) yields a 79/100 kinematic anomaly score. Nearest cataloged NASA CNEOS bolide is cneos-fb-04 (746.1 km / 463.6 mi great-circle separation).
